Google site verification
When adding a site (property) to you Google Search Console, you will have to prove to Google that you actually own the site.
Google offer various means to do so.
If you already have Google Analytics set up under settings > presence > website > google analytics ua, you can choose Google Analytics as an Alternate method.
If you do not have Google Analytics set up, choose HTML tag under Alternate methods.
Copy only the string starting after content= and between the double quotes into the field.
Don't forget to hit publish to make your setting live.
Google should now be able to verify that you indeed own the site.
